PURPOSE:To enable desired image data to be accessed at high speed and reduce a processing time by holding range position information necessary for conducting a range migration correcting processing in an indirect address memory. CONSTITUTION:An image memory 1 stores image data obtained by a synthetic aperture radar and temporarily stores a processed result. An indirect address memory 2 holds range position information necessary for a range migration correcting processing. An azimuth address counter 3 sequentially generates addresses in an azimuth direction. A counter 4 counts up by one count at every readout of one line in the azimuth direction and holds the offset values of the addresses. An adder 5 adds the range position information from the indirect address memory 2 and the address offset value from the counter 4 to each other and gives the image memory 1 an address signal. A control unit 6 controls the whole and calculates parameters necessary for obtaining a range position.
