PURPOSE:To obtain a sol pharmaceutical composition, containing a sparingly water-soluble agricultural chemical ingredient, bentonite mineral and colloidal silicon oxide, having a low viscosity, capable of holding stable properties for a long period and adjustable into a viscosity without any problems for practical use. CONSTITUTION:A composition consisting of one or two or more kinds of sparingly water-soluble agricultural chemical active ingredients, such as 2-methyl-3'- isopropoxybenzanilide, as an active ingredient, a bentonite mineral, such as high-purity sodium.montmorillonite, and a colloidal silicon oxide which is high- purity silicon oxide, expressed by the formula SiO2.nH2O, normally obtained by rapidly decomposing a silicic acid source in the vapor or liquid phase and extremely fine amorphous particles having 3-100mmu particle diameter. A hydrocarbon solvent containing >=90wt.% 9-17C hydrocarbon of the methane series can be blended therewith to further improve dispersibility and storage stability. A sol pharmaceutical obtained from the above-mentioned composition has 10-300cP viscosity.
