PURPOSE:To make a heat exchange usable under a high temperature and to increase the heat exchange efficiency by making a potion or all pipes and fins of a high thermal conductive ceramics such as silicon carbide or aluminum nitride, and the remainder by copper. CONSTITUTION:Pipes 1 are made in such a way that raw ceramic material such as aluminum nitride is mixed and neaded with sintering aid and cohesives, extruded in a cylindrical shape, and sintered. Fins 2, 3 are of plate-like shape with notch. The pipes 1 are lined with activated metal layer around its periphery, and the pipes 1 and fins 2 and 3 are heat-treated in a furnace, in which they are held by an assembly jig 4 made of carbon, for 30 minutes. After heat treatment, the jig 4 is dismounted, and a heat exchanger is formed into a single body by fusing of activated metal with a high joint strength and high thermal conductivity. Therefore, as the heat exchanger is composed mainly of a high thermal conductive ceramics, it can be satisfactorily used under a high temperature with a high heat exchange efficiency. |
