2058626 9115539 PCTABS00007 Flame retardant polyarylether compositions comprising a poly(biphenyl ether sulfone) and anhydrous zinc borate are disclosed. The preferred compositions of the invention are blends of a poly(biphenyl ether sulfone) with a poly(aryl ether ketone) containing anhydrous zinc borate and a fluorocarbon polymer, and optionally titanium dioxide. The preferred compositions exhibit improved heat release characteristics.
