摘要 PURPOSE:To improve the steering property by increasing the rear wheel steering angle in response to the front wheel steering angle in the opposite phase region at a low speed and controlling the increasing ratio of the rear wheel steering angle small in inverse proportion to the magnitude of the front wheel steering angle in the same phase region at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:A controller 10 controls the steering angle of rear wheels 2 via a solenoid 20, a selector valve 22, and a hydraulic actuator 23 in response to the steering angle of front wheels 1 by a steering angle sensor 4. The opposite phase region characteristic is used at a low speed by a car speed sensor 12, and the rear wheel steering angle is increased in response to the front wheel steering angle. On the other hand, the same phase region characteristic is used at a high speed, and the steering of rear wheels 2 is controlled so that the increasing ratio of the rear wheel steering angle with respect to the increase of the front wheel steering angle when the front wheel steering angle is large is made smaller than the increasing ratio when the front wheel steering angle is small. The small-turn characteristic at a low speed and the stability and turning property at a high speed can be made compatible.
