PURPOSE:To obtain a fishing line having large specific gravity, excellent abrasion resistance and durability by applying an ingredient layer having high specific gravity to the surface of braid, etc., consisting of a polyolefin fiber. CONSTITUTION:A material obtained by dispersing powder of a metal (e.g. lead, iron or stainless steel) or metal oxide, preferably having 0.001-0.5mm average particle size into a resin (e.g. polyethylene based resin) so as to contain the powder, etc., at an amount of >=10wt.% based on the above-mentioned fiber is applied to the surface of single yarn of polyolefin monofilament fiber obtained by dividing polyolefin multifilament fiber (preferably polyethylene fiber) or twist yarn obtained by twisting plural pieces of the above-mentioned single yarn or braid obtained by braiding plural pieces of the single yarn. Thereby a component layer having high specific gravity is provided on the surface thereof to give the objective fishing line having >=1 specific gravity. |
