PURPOSE:To enable the amount of immobilization of oxygen to be constant and at the same time to be change arbitrarily, achieve analysis with a constant sensitivity and with a high sensitivity, and achieve a long-term and stable use. CONSTITUTION:Alcohol oxidase with 100-1000 units/1ml is immobilized to chitosan beads (carrier for immobilizing oxygen) and then it is filled into a reactor 10. By detecting the amount of hydrogen peroxide or the amount of oxygen which is generated due to enzyme decomposition reaction within the reactor by an electrochemical detector 18, alcohol within a sample is analyzed with a certain sensitivity and a high sensitivity. Also, by immobilizing ascorbic acid oxidase with 50-5000 units/1ml into the chitosan beads, vitamin C within the sample is analyzed similarly. The reactor 10 can be attached to and detached from a sample channel freely. |
