<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the practical liquid crystal display panel which uses a thick film varistor as a nonlinear element connecting a pixel electrode and a signal line. CONSTITUTION:On a pixel electrode substrate 1, pixel electrodes 1c which are arranged in matrix, plural beltlike signal lines 1b which are arranged along pixel electrodes 1c in respective arrays in a specific direction Y1-Y2 (perpendicular to paper surface) among the respective pixel electrodes 1c and send signals to the pixel electrodes 1c in the respective arrays, and the nonlinear element 1d which connects the pixel electrodes 1c in the respective arrays and the signal lines are formed. A counter electrode substrate 2 which is arranged on the pixel electrode substrate 1 across liquid crystal has plural beltlike counter electrodes 2b opposite the pixel electrodes 1c in the respective arrays orthogonal to the specific direction among the pixel electrodes 1c in the matrix. The nonlinear element 1d is formed of the rectangular thick film varistor by a lift-off method.</p> |
