CAMERA AND CONTROLLING METHOD

PURPOSE:To perform a pre-light emission only when it is required for the preven tion of a red-eye phenomenon. CONSTITUTION:The photometry of an object is performed by using a photometry sensor 26 and circuits 15-18 and 19 and a distance to the object is measured by a range-finding sensor 27. The pre-light emission using a stroboscope 45 is performed just before a photographing when the setting of a macrophotographing by a macrophotographing setting switch 25 is not performed and an object brightness value is <=EV6 and also the distance to the object is >=1m.
