PURPOSE:To provide a data compressing device which makes possible compression corresponding to compression target data and can vary compression conditions concerning a series of data. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a means 13 for setting the size of data to be simultaneously read and the number of partial data formed by dividing the read data into fine pieces as the compression conditions, means 14 for dividing the read data into the partial data, means 15 for respectively comparing the respective divided partial data with the partial data of next read data, means 16 for calculating the count of respective partial data based on this compared result and means 6 for compressing data corresponding to this counted result and writing them together with the set compression conditions. Thus, the degree of redundancy for the compression target data is increased and optimum data compression can be provided. |
