Mechanical, automatic outflow preventing device for infusion drip chamber or container having a similar function, for example as component of the infusion kit, by means of which aspiration of air in the vascular system of the patient can be avoided, characterised in that this outflow preventing device can comprise a drip chamber outlet cone in the bottom part of the drip chamber and a floating body movable in the drip chamber, the floating body sealing the drip chamber outlet cone in a gas-tight manner on reduction of the liquid level in the drip chamber, and an infusion chamber inlet orifice adapted to fit the floating body tightly for reception of the floating body which seals the infusion chamber inlet orifice in a gas-tight manner when the infusion chamber is completely filled with infusion liquid.
