PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce a cost by decreasing the number of parts and simplifying a structure and to package many pieces of optical fibers as well. CONSTITUTION:This optical connector consists of a combination of a ferrule 10 and a housing 20 having a ferrule bore 22 to be fitted therewith. The ferrule consists of a structure having a ferrule body part 12 and a flange 14 formed on its base end side. The housing includes a groove 24 formed on the inside surface of the ferrule bore along the central axis of the ferrule bore and a leaf spring 26 mounted at the groove. The leaf spring is formed to a shape obtd. by continuously integrating a pressing part 26a curving to project in the diametral direction of the ferrule bore and a clipping part 26b for supporting the pressing part by projecting outward of the opening end of the ferrule bore and adding the inward elastic pressure in the axial direction to the flange of the ferrule. |
