PURPOSE:To provide sufficient durability and mechanical strength even at extremely low temp. allowing liquid nitrogen to be present stably by forming an Nb type superconductor layer on a base material made of aromatic polyimide. CONSTITUTION:An Nb type superconductor layer is directly formed on a base material made of aromatic polyimide. As the Nb type superconductor layer, any superconductor layer composed of an Nb-alloy or an Nb compound showing critical temp. equal to or more than of liquid helium may be used and, as the Nb-alloy layer forming the Nb type superconductor layer, a thin layer composed of NbTi or NbZr can be designated and, as the Nb-compound layer, a thin layer composed of NbN, Nb3Sn, Nb3Ge can be designated. As the aromatic polyimide base material, any fibrous or film-like base material formed of high MW aromatic polyimide obtained by the polymerization and imidation of an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid component and an aromatic diamine component may be used. |
