PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure an necessary generation amount of ion without an increase in voltage of an alternating current power source of an ion flow head equipped with a controller that lets a discharge electrode discharge to form a specified electric field and generate ion flows, by increasing the surface resistance of a dielectric member that covers the discharge electrode. SOLUTION: An ion flow head includes an ion generator where a discharge electrode 12 covered with a dielectric member 111 is discharged to generate ions, and an ion controller by which the ions generated by the ion generator are given a specified electric field to produce specified ion flows. The surface resistance of the dielectric member 111 that covers the discharge electrode 12 is increased. Therefore, as unnecessary electric charge is prevented form moving in and escape of necessary ions is diminished, a necessary composite electric field is accomplished in a short period of time. Therefore, the number of discharges per unit time can be increased and the generating amount of the ions is increased relatively. |
