PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an entry display irrelevantly to the order of retrieval by providing a display monitor which displays a hierarchically structured table. SOLUTION: A processor 51 generates a proper packet for making a selected uniform resource locator(URL) or HTML link and sends the packet to an I/O port 53 through a wide-area network. A server node that the packet has reached finally returns the packet to the host 50 through the wide-area network. A processor 51 takes acquired information out of the received packet and interprets it. This information is structured and stored in a memory 52. Specially, URL and HTML links are recorded and stored in the memory 52 in hierarchical form, and a translation of relative scripts and address is recorded and stored in the memory 52. The processor 51 is combined with a graphic controller 54 and displays the information on a display monitor 55.
