PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image compressor in which an image-matching time cost is reduced, in the case of conducting fractal compression on an image. SOLUTION: This compressor is provided with an image storage device 11 that stores a compressed image, a domain block storage means 12 that generates and stores a domain block from the image, a range block storage means 13 that generates and stores a range block, a comparator means 14 that selects the generated domain block and range block, adds an absolute value of the difference for each pixel in a predetermined order to the range block and the domain block resulting from affine transform of the domain block to the range block and provider an output, of the domain block and an affine transformation formula as compressed image information, when the intermediate total sum of the differences so far for each pixel is within a permissible range or less than the size of a predetermined minimum range block, and a storage means 15 that stores the compressed image information. |
