PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a milling cutter capable of reducing a mounting space for a cutting insert, and firmly mounting the cutting insert. SOLUTION: A milling cutter 1 is provided with a recessed part 41 which is formed on its circumferential outer peripheral surface and which extends axially, and at least one insert seat 14 which contains a holding member 47 provided in the recessed part and which is axially adjustable. With a cutting insert 25 axially adjustably provided at the holding member 47, two faces of the side faces formed with a cutting edge are supported on the corresponding bearing faces of the holding member 47, with one end face supported not on the holding member 47 but on one side face 42 of the recessed part 41. |
