DISPLAY METHOD FOR RICH TEXT MATERIAL AND VIDEO INFORMATION PROVISION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video information provision system with which a multimedia title including a rich text can be displayed at the designated time of a scenario. SOLUTION: A server 10 is provided with a storage part 14 having the Rich Text and the scenario, expansion part 12 for expanding the Rich Text into the display image of a reproducing side output format and calculating the time for that expansion, expansion time library 13 having reference data for expansion time calculation and server control means 11 and the server control means dispatches the scenario and the expansion time of the Rich Text to a reproducing terminal 3 from which a title ID and an output format are sent. A scheduler 32 of the reproducing terminal 30 requests the Rich Text earlier than the designated display time of the scenario just for the expansion time and an expanding means expands the Rich Text into display image and dispatches it to the reproducing means 30. A display part 33 displays that image at the designated time of the scenario. On the side of the reproducing terminal 30, the Rich Text can be displayed as designated by the scenario.
