PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a body obstructing the complete close of a fire door necessary for keeping safety of the fire zone of a building, and to give warning. SOLUTION: This obstacle monitoring device is provided with a range-finder type reflective sensor 10 turnable in the horizontal direction for accurately detecting only the body 8 obstructing the close of a normally open type fire door, a timer device 22 for measuring the leaving time of the body 8 detected by a reflective sensor 10, a memory 21 for storing a leaving judgment time allowing the leaving of the body 8, a discrimination device 23 for comparing the measured leaving time with the leaving judgment time and for discriminating whether or not it is a moving body or a leaving body, a warning device 24 for warning the presence of a leaving body, a self-diagnosing device 25 for diagnosing the conditions of the machinery, and a handy terminal 29 for carrying out the setting of the detecting conditions and the confirmation thereof, to control the monitoring of an obstacle with a higher reliability. |
