PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly damp or absorb tire noise in all traveling states by arranging a large number of hollow chamber type resonators in a partial range of at least a tire main body, and connecting these hollow chamber type resonators to an opening of the surface of a pneumatic tire. SOLUTION: A tire main body is composed of a tread 3, two sidewalls 4, 4' and a carcass 5 having a carcass layer and a reinforcing element according to circumstances. A large number of hollow chamber type resonators 11 to 14 respectively and distributively arranged over the tire outer periphery are arranged in a bottom range of tread pattern grooves 7 to 10. These hollow chamber type resonators are respectively connected to the outside surface of the tread through a hole existing in the bottom range of the tread pattern grooves. This hollow chamber type resonator 13 is formed as a Helmholtz resonator. In this case, a resonator hollow chamber 13 and the opening neck part 15 are formed as a hollow cylindrical body having respectively different diameters. |
