摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve moderate speed change of a vehicle when following time or following distance is changed step by step, by providing control means for controlling a driving force and braking force of the vehicle so that detected value of the following distance corresponds to a target following distance. SOLUTION: In a following distance control section 22, a target vehicle speed V' is calculated so that a following distance L detected by a following- distance sensor corresponds to a target following distance L'. In a vehicle speed control section 23, a target throttle valve openingθ', a target brake fluid pressure P' and a target gear ratio r' are calculated so that a vehicle speed corresponds to the target vehicle speed V'. In a throttle control section 24, a throttle actuator 13 is controlled. In a brake control section 25, a brake actuator 14 is controlled so that a brake fluid pressure P detected by a brake fluid pressure sensor corresponds to the target brake fluid pressure P'. In this way, vehicle speed change is performed moderately when following time T0 is changed step by step, thus enabling improvement of riding comfort.</p>
