PURPOSE: To provide a developing device showing high durability and stable picture quality which does not cause deterioration, peeling or damages of the coating film on the surface of a developer carrier due to repetition of copying, and to provide a developer carrier which does not cause melt sticking of a toner to its surface although melt sticking is easily caused when a toner having a large amt. of low mol.wt. resin component is used. CONSTITUTION: This developer carrier is used to hold and carry a developer to develop a latent image formed on a latent image holding body. The developer carrier consists of a base body and a resin coating layer having dispersion of chitosan fine particles in a binder resin. |
