PURPOSE: An electron gun of a cathode ray tube is provided to simplify a configuration, and easily facilitate a mounting operation, and improve a through-put by installing a large caliber common electrode. CONSTITUTION: A triode(210) includes three cathodes(K), first and second grid electrodes(G1,G2). Each of the three cathodes(K) generates an electron. A main lens section(211) includes third, fourth, and fifth grid electrodes(G3,G4,G5) for intersecting and focusing three electron beams from the triode(210). A convergence lens section(212) includes sixth and seventh grid electrodes(G5,G6) for deflecting side electron beams radiated by the main lens section(211). A step pin(31) is connected to the sixth grid electrode(G6). A sealed cup(33) is formed at a front surface of the sixth grid electrode(G6) which has three electron beam through holes. A contact spring(35) is electrically connected to an anode button. A high voltage of an anode is supplied to the sixth grid electrode(G6). A large caliber electronic lens(L1) is formed at the convergence lens(212) between the fifth and sixth grid electrodes(G5,G6).
