PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart a prestrain quantity in a prescribed plate width distribution in consideration of the bending applied to a folded plate when working a plate stock for the folded plate to be roll-formed to the folded plate for an arch roof. SOLUTION: Prior to roll forming to form a metal plate stock to the folded plate for an arch roof of a working radium R and a ridge height H, a minimum value of a longitudinal length of a section corresponding to a bottom part center of the folded plate is L1, a maximum value of a longitudinal length of a section corresponding to a shoulder part or a connection part is L2, the prestain satisfying the relationship formula (1) and (2) is imparted to the metal plate. (L2-L1)/L1=C1×C2×H/R... (1) (L2-L1)/L1<=0.003...(2) Here, C1 is a correction coefficient of 0.9-0.3, C2 is a correction coefficient of 0.5-2.0. Because the prestrain is imparted in a prescribed plate width direction distribution, when the plate stock is roll-formed to the folded plate for arch roof, an elastic buckling wave, breaking and, etc., are no generated, thus, the folded plate having required bending is manufactured.
