PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter with a protective film excellent in property of barriering impurities from the color filter and free of photodegradation, with respect to a color filter used in an IPS mode liquid crystal display or the like. SOLUTION: In the color filter with at least a light shielding layer, a colored pixel layer and a protective film on a transparent substrate, the surface of the protective film has an inorganic oxide layer modified to the inorganic oxide by irradiation with light. |
