PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating solution sucking apparatus preventing not only the adhesion of a sucked solution to the portion, opposed to an object to be coated, of a suction nozzle but also the turning of the sucked solution to the back of the object to be coated. SOLUTION: A washing liquid is ejected from the jet orifice 40 formed to the inner pipe 28 of the suction nozzle 24 to wash the inner surface of an outer pipe 26 to prevent the fixing of the sucked solution between the outer and inner pipes 26 and 28. The suction nozzle 24 is arranged so as to be inclined at a predetermined angleθ1 (92 deg.<=θ1<=120 deg.) on the downstream side of a feed direction with respect to the contact plane T, which passes the crossing point of a suction center line B and the coating surface 20 of a web 14 to come into contact with the coating surface 20 and, since the opposed portion 30 to the web of the nozzle is separated gradually toward the downstream side in the feed direction when looked from the coating surface 20, no sucked solution adheres to the opposed portion 30.
