PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce remarkably standby power of an apparatus to be controlled and enable to supply stable power to a control means and a load, in a standby power reducing device wherein a commercial power source is connected with a primary side of a power source transformer, the control means is connected with a secondary side, and the load is connected with the control means. SOLUTION: The standby power reducing device 1 is provided with a switching means 3 for switching the commercial power source 2 and primary side input which are connected with a primary side of a power source transformer T1, a control device 6 and a load circuit 7 which are connected with a secondary side, and an operation circuit 8 which switches a secondary side voltage of the power source transformer T1 to a high voltage level and a low voltage level by switching the switching means 3. In the standby power reducing device 1, a voltage monitoring part 14 for monitoring a secondary side voltage is arranged in the control device 6. In the case that a secondary side voltage is the low voltage level, a secondary side voltage of the power source transformer T1 is switched to the high voltage level when the voltage monitoring part 14 detects that a secondary side voltage is lower than or equal to a prescribed voltage. |
