<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a bearing device wherein the centrifugal force is applied when a vehicle travels on a curve, the pre-load on balls is reduced by the magnitude of the centrifugal force, and the rigidity of the bearing device is degraded. SOLUTION: When the vehicle travels on a curved road surface, the centrifugal force is applied to an axle 2, a guided member 22 is pressed against the elasticity of a compression spring 27, a guided surface 21 of the guided member 22 is guided by a guide surface 20 of an inner ring member 5 and slides along the guide surface while the position of the axis 1 of a ball member 26 for expansion is maintained, an annular fitting groove 21a is moved, and the ball member 26 for expansion is pressed outwardly in the radial direction to expand an inner ring member 5, the pre-load on the ball 8 with the outer circumferential surface of the inner ring member 5 as an inner ring raceway is increased, and the rigidity of the bearing device for axle is improved thereby.</p> |
