PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a water-absorbing sheet to a plant culture liquid stored in a container from the bottom of a plant culture medium and enable the circulation of the plant culture liquid stored in the container. SOLUTION: A container 2 storing a plant culture liquid for irrigating a medium 1 is placed. A water flow groove 4 is formed on the bottom of the container 2. Above the water flow groove 4, the medium 1 is placed via a water absorbing sheet or the like so that the plant culture liquid stored in the water flow groove 4 can be supplied to the medium 1 by capillary phenomenon or the like. An overflow drainpipe 5 for the water flow groove is placed on the container 2 to drain the amount of the liquid exceeding the water level for storing the liquid in the water flow groove 4. A liquid feeding port 3 is formed in the symmetrical direction to the overflow drainpipe for the water flow groove 5 in order to store the plant culture nutritional liquid in the water flow groove 4, and the liquid is supplied to the container 2. After the liquid supply from the liquid feeding port 3 is stopped, the liquid is stored in the water flow groove 4 at a water level determined by the overflow drain pipe for the water flow groove. Further the apparatus is designed in such a manner that the water level can be temporarily raised up to a position higher than the head of the overflow drain pipe for the water flow groove. |
