PURPOSE: A method and system for an electronic payment of an Internet credit card of a non-payment gateway type based on an authentication certificate is provided to reduce a commission and a processing time necessary for a payment process by managing user payment information safely and reducing a payment processing stage in an electronic commerce. CONSTITUTION: A user(31) includes a terminal being connected a server system(33), an Internet store(32), etc. through the Internet and a plug-in module capable of processing an electronic payment process. The user(31) receives an Internet credit card issued from a card company and performs an electronic transaction through the Internet store(32). The Internet store(32) checks commodity transaction information transmitted from the user(31), transmits information related to a payment and a user card to the card company(33) as a coded state, and receives a payment confirmation. The card company(33) receives a certificate of authentication of the user(31) through an authentication institution(34), makes an Internet credit card, issues the card to the user(31). The card company(33) decodes and checks user card information and payment information transmitted from the Internet store(32), performs a payment confirmation to the Internet store(32), and pays a card payment price through a transaction bank(35) of the Internet store(32). The transaction bank(35) possesses an account of the Internet store(32), and the Internet store(32) receives a card payment price through the account.
