PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type liquid crystal display panel wherein adhesive strength and moisture preventing properties of a sealing part are improved, display unevenness due to seal peeling and moisture intrusion is not generated and gap unevenness at a peripheral part is not generated either by optimizing the constitution of a seal 4 and an organic insulating film 3. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel has the parts where the organic insulating film on an array substrate is positioned and is not positioned in the width direction, respectively, in the nearly entire circumference of the seal.
