PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MIG welding method or a MIG welding torch that facilitates setting of an aiming position for a welding torch. SOLUTION: In the area where a shielding gas passes through in the welding torch 1, there are installed spiral fins 8 for forming a swirling passage. Thus, a swirling flow circling around the arc column is generated for the shielding gas that is blown off from the gas releasing nozzle 5, thereby expanding the reachable range of the arc column.
