<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device which is user-friendly and can be easily adaptive to the change such as the addition or replacement of equipment to be controlled. <P>SOLUTION: An equipment name 38 and an equipment control parameter 39 are registered in a contents table 34. Those equipment name 38 and control parameter 39 are associated with individual partial images A1, A2, B1, and B2 configuring a whole image AB on the contents table 34, respectively. A user moves the position of the image displayed on the display picture of a display part 6 to make the arbitrary partial image appear on the display picture. Afterwards, the equipment name 38 and control parameter 39 made to correspond to the partial image are read from the contents table 34, and the remote control of the target equipment is carried out based on the read name and parameter. Thus, it is possible to select the equipment to be controlled and the control contents by a simple operation to move the position of the image displayed on the display picture, and the system is easily adaptive to the change such as addition or replacement of the equipment to be controlled by updating the contents table 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
