<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and cost of a drive device of a hybrid vehicle by operating a switching mechanism by a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This hybrid vehicle comprises a series traveling mode for transmitting only a motor power to drive wheels and a parallel traveling mode for transmitting the motor power and an engine power to the drive wheels. A parallel shaft type transmission 18 installed in a transmission route for the engine power comprises a gear shift input shaft 21 having drive gears 41a and 42a and a gear shift output shaft 22 having driven gears 41b and 42b. The drive gears 41a and 42b and the driven gears 41b and 42b form a gear shifting gear train, and the switching mechanism 43 switching the gear shifting gear train is driven by an actuator 30 using a negative pressure as a power source. When a traveling mode is moved to the parallel traveling mode, an engine 14 is rotated by a power generating motor 16 and an intake pipe negative pressure is generated by controlling a throttle valve 87 to a throttle side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
