<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock shaping device, capable of synchronizing in a plurality of different clock frequencies, and electronic equipment which uses the same. <P>SOLUTION: The device has a structure provided with a reference clock signal selector for receiving a plurality of reference clock signals, having different frequencies and outputting any one of the inputted signals; a plurality of stationary oscillators for generating alternative clock signals, corresponding to each of the plurality of reference clock signals; a selector for receiving the reference clock signal and the alternative clock signal and outputting either of the clock signals; a signal detector for monitoring the reference clock signal selected by the reference clock signal selecting section, and causing the selecting section to output the alternative clock signal, if an abnormality occurs in the reference clock signal; and a plurality of voltage-controlled oscillators. The structure also has a phase synchronization circuit for outputting a clock signal, having a phase synchronized with the reference clock signal or the alternative clock signal outputted from the selecting section, and an operation control unit for controlling the operations of the stationary oscillators and the voltage-controlled oscillators. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
