<p>The source of thermal energy heats a plurality of thermocouples points, whilst other joints are at a lower temp., the bundle of thermocouples being surrounded by a cylinder having a reflecting inner surface to reduce energy loss by radiation, as in the Parent Patent. The inner surface of the reflecting cylinder is not flat, but has such as profile (e.g. ribs or saw-teeth) that the thermal radiation is reflected back towards the hot joints of the thermocouples, thus increasing the temp. gradient.</p> |
