Rotary apparatus with a rocker is for driving in or pulling out a pipe, which can be gripped by a hydraulic clamp and along which the apparatus is height adjustable by hydraulic lifters with piston rods parallel to the pipe axis and jointed to a support embracing the pipe. The support consists of a clamp ring, which can also be connected by a hydraulic clamping unit to the pipe. More partic., the height position of the rotary apparatus can be altered on the pipe, independently of the properties of the building ground.
