In an appts. for the application and removal of substances to or from cavities, esp. body cavities near the surface, consisting of a tubular balloon which can be blown in, and is connected at its distal end with a pressure producer, an excess or reduced pressure is produced in the tubular balloon by means of a volume change in a variable volume hollow body, particularly of elastic material, constituting the pressure produced, the variable volume being twice the volume of the tubular balloon in its blown-out state. Enables material to be introduced into a body cavity particularly the main nasal cavity.
