<p>A coach frame comprises closed metal hoops (1) arranged vertically and connected together by horizontal elements (2) of hollow cross-section. The horizontal elements (2) open out at their ends (3) to distribute progressively the forces applied at these points. The frame is based on longitudinal girders (4, 5) to which the frame is fixed by way of crossbeams. The horizontal elements (2) are provided below and/or above the window openings, and/or in the centre of the roof. Lateral panels extend downwards from the lower edges of the frame, and provided spaces for the petrol tank, the spare wheel, or the luggage.</p> |
