The grain is ejected pneumatically to the soil in a precisely metered amount. Mechanical selection is effected by a distributor which is fed by gravity from a hopper. With the distributor a distributor ring is rotated. The inner cylindrical bone of the ring has cells whose shape and dimensions are appropriate to the type of grain. Rotation of the ring whirls and mixes the grain assuring a single grain in each cell for discharge by the pneumatic ejector.
