Corrugations, which follow a sinusoidal line in the longitudinal direction, can be rolled into sheet metal by means of a pair of rollers. The rollers are mounted in a frame on two shafts which carry mating gears. The rollers have end faces which incline to the plane of revolution. The upper roller has a circumferential groove on one edge and a ridge on the opposite edge. The lower roller has a conjugate profile so that when the rollers rotate two sinusoidal lines of corrugations are produced in the sheet which is fed between the rollers.
