The personal-hygiene bandage, diaper etc comprises a layer of moisture-absorbent material forming the core, and one or more outer layers of waterproof material forming a wrapping. Between the absorbent material and the outer layer is a layer of breathing material impermeable to moisture, on the side of the absorbent one furthest from the body when in use. It can be of non-woven or woven material. - Pref. materials for the non-woven layer are polyester, viscose, polypropylene and nylon. Pref. materials for the woven layer are cotton, nylon, polyester, wool, linen viscose and acrylics.
