The stereoscopic TV receiver produces two monoscopic colour pictures which are viewed by the viewer wearing anaglyphic spectacles with, e.g. red and green filters, to create the impression of a third dimension. The two monoscopic pictures are displaced w.r.t. one another and are produced in complementary colours appropriate to the filters in the spectacles and are derived from the same picture. The separation between the two monoscopic pictures is obtained by delaying picture signals of the common original picture. The two pictures are reproduced on a conventional colour TV screen using a conventional 3-beam electron gun.
|
