Cylindrical lithium-copper oxide battery including, in a cup 1 closed by a cap 3, provided respectively with a cathodic current output 2 and an anodic current output 12, a spiral bobbin formed by a lithium electrode 8 with its anodic current collector, by a separator 9, and by a copper oxide electrode 5 with its cathodic current collector 6. The structure of such a battery is such that it is non-magnetic and furthermore has the advantage of being able to be kept for at least some ten years. <IMAGE>
