<p>The invention relates to novel phenylsulfonylacrylate ester derivatives of formula (I), wherein R stands for a C1-4alkyl group; a phenyl group optionally substituted by a C1-4alkoxy or a C1-4alkylcarbonyloxy group; an aralkyl group optionally substituted by a C1-4alkoxy group on the aromatic ring; a phenylsulfonylvinyl or phenylcarbonylvinyl group optionally substituted by a halogen on their phenyl moiety; methylsulfonylvinyl group; 4-oxo-4H-1-benzopyran-2-yl or 4-oxo-4H-1-benzothiopyran-2-yl group; R1 means hydrogen or a halogen; and n is 2 or 3. The invention further relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing these compounds as well as a process for the preparation of the compounds of formula (I). The compounds of the invention possess gastric acid secreto-inhibitory and gastrocytoprotective effects. Thus, they are useful for the prevention and/or healing of inflammatory and ulcerative diseases of esophagus, stomach or duodenum.</p> |
