PURPOSE:To provide the method and system for reproducing a color image in which a highly accurate prediction image is generated by taking a dot gain into account. CONSTITUTION:YMCK dot % data from an image edit device 12 are corrected by using a dot gain correction coefficient set separately by three stimulus values X, Y, Z, the corrected YMCK dot % data are converted into color image data of the XYZ color representation system based on a common color space conversion table in a common color space conversion section 20, the color image data are converted into a color reproduction area and an appearance corresponding to an image output device 14A based on a color reproduction area/ appearance conversion table, and the color image data is converted into a color image data of a specific color space in the picture output device 14A based on the specific color space conversion table in a specific color space conversion section 24 and the result is outputted to confirm the evaluation of the color image. |
