Safety device for aircraft seat

The safety device is for seats, esp. aircraft seats, and is for damping of thrust loads. It incorporates an energy-accommodating deformation member which is supported in the underframe of the seat. It also has an integrated chemical force accumulator used as a set-back component for the seat. The underframe (2) of the seat incorporates a frame part formed as a seating plate (17) with support ribs (15,16) rotatably held in links (18,19), which on the floor side are pivotably located in further links (20,21). Between the support ribs and the seat plate at least one deformation member (3) is arranged diagonally and extends inclinedly upwards opposite to the direction of flight (F). The force accumulator in the event of an emergency is in engagement with an inner casing arranged in an outer casing (6).
