PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus fit to carry out a granulating method by which carrier particles can be coated with high efficiency and resistance can easily be regulated. CONSTITUTION: In this apparatus for producing a carrier by forming a coating layer on core powder by dipping the powder in a soln. of an insulating resin having >=10<15>Ω.cm vol. resistivity and drying the powder, coating, stirring and drying processes are carried out under reduced pressure and the vol. resistivity of the resultant coated carrier can be regulated to 10<9> -10<12>Ω.cm.
