摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict the replacement time of disc cutters accurately by obtaining the abrasion wear of the disc cutters from the stroke value of a gripper cylinder. SOLUTION: Constant voltage is applied at both ends of wire-wound resistors 6a, 6b fixed onto shafts 4a, 4b. The voltage of the gripper 2a-side terminal of the wire-wound resistor 6a and a brush 7a and the voltage of the gripper 2b-side terminal of the wire-wound resistor 6b and a brush 7b are input to a computer 8, and the quantities of the grippers 2a, 2b projected are measured. Since a disc cutter is abraded as excavation progresses and a pit diameter is reduced at that time, the quantities of projection are also lowered. Accordingly, an excavation distance and the quantities of projection are measured successively from an excavation starting point, and the correlation formula is acquired, thus determining the optimum replacement time of the disc cutter.
