PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which the operation and/or input of a user is interpreted by a relatively simple method, and the operation and movement of an artifact is started and changed so that it can be noticed by a user in the system of the artifact which can be moved in a virtual environment or animation-processed. SOLUTION: An interactive entertainment device in which a user is given a picture in a virtual environment, and the position and direction of a view point in the above-mentioned environment can be moved is provided with a controller which moves or animation-processes a character or an artifact which appears in the above-mentioned environment. Then, variables (distance andθ) normalizing a distance between the above-mentioned visual point and artifact, and incoincidence in the view point direction are generated. The change of one or both of those variables starts sequences (104. C/F) in which a pause adopted by all or one part of the above-mentioned artifacts is controlled. |
